43rd Annual Lewiston Art Festival
This weekend is the 43rd Annual Lewiston Art Festival
Lewiston’s signature event features work by more than 170 exceptional artists in a wide range of fine art and artistic craft media competing for Modern Corporation’s “Modern Art Awards.” Our featured artist, Travis Louie, will join us for a weekend residency.
Exciting entertainment, and the closing of Center Street to vehicular traffic makes this year’s event our most ambitious ever! Don’t miss ‘College Alley’ featuring student’s work – your chance to discover an up-and-coming young artist. First Niagara’s KidZone has creative activities for youngsters. On Sunday everyone’s an artist when the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University hosts Make & Take workshops. Street performers welcome!
The Lewiston Art Festival is made possible, in part, with funds from the Arts Niagara Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the Tonawandas’ Council on the Arts, Carnegie Center.

Of course there will be plenty of beautiful artwork to look at and purchase if you are so inclined. But don’t miss my personal favorite-the ice cream cookie sandwiches at DiCamillo’s on Center Street! What a treat!
