Arise & Shine at the Top of the Falls

Local churches representing varied denominations are coming together in unity to celebrate our Creator in a community worship event as the sun rises over the incomparable upper Niagara

Giving thanks and celebrating our City is not something that happens enough these days, so mark your calendars, bring your families and friends and celebrate Buffalo and Niagara Falls during the June 25 – 28, 2009 Buffalo and Niagara Falls Homecomings.

Through the active participation and commitment of grassroots community volunteers, guided by Marti Gorman, the event’s founding visionary, facilitated by Colleen Kulikowski, both from Buffalo and lead by the President of Niagara Rises, Frank Croisdale, this “homecoming” event is a “first” of a community-driven linkage between Buffalo and Niagara Falls and is sure to be a huge family reunion.

The Sunday morning June 28th 4:30am – 9:00am scheduled event is a “sunrise” Arise & Shine Worship Event, near parking Lot #3 on Goat Island, in Niagara Falls. Faith based and inter-denominational churches are coming together in song, dance, art and music to celebrate and give thanks in a spiritual way. There is no greater place to celebrate the Light and Power in our region than where “light itself began” in the power of Niagara Falls. Geri Mitro, Arise & Shine Worship Event’s Chairwoman, says, “Come as you are, but you won’t leave the same!” Although the event begins at 4:30 am, the planning committee invites you to “come when you can and leave when you must!”
