NACC Artists & Friends Exhibition
November 20, 2009 through January 9, 2010
Exhibition Summary
The NACC is proud to host our annual art exhibition that will showcase the many talented artists at the NACC, as well as, the local area. To allow the exhibition to represent a wide range of artistic mediums it will not be limited to a specific genre or medium, therefore, we will accept all two dimensional and three dimensional works of art. This exhibition is open to any artist who lives or works in Western New York and/or Southern Ontario, Canada. In addition, the opening reception for this exhibition will be combined with our semi-annual open house and open studios holiday event that will feature a multitude of art, entertainment and refreshments.
General Information
Customers who purchase art will be able to take art they purchase with full payment at the end of the exhibition.
The opening reception for the exhibition will be on Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 4 to 7 pm.
The NACC Gift Shop will be open and we encourage artists to display associated note cards, prints etc. for sale.
Please price your artwork to include a 25% commission for NACC. The sell price is understood to include it.
We will not accept “Price on Request” or “Not for Sale” as options in your price designations.
Eligibility for Gallery Exhibit
Work must be original and made by the artist. Please submit only work that is for sale.
The installers are not responsible for preparing work for installation.
Two-dimensional works must be framed and wired for installation.
Three-dimensional works must have a clean, non-abrasive base or be mounted on a pedestal.
The maximum number that will be displayed for the exhibit will be 4 pieces per artist.
Entry Guidelines
Complete and return the attached “I Intend to Exhibit” form with your entry fee to the NACC main office.
An entry fee of $25 will be charged for the first two pieces and $10 per additional piece up to four pieces maximum.
This call for artists is open to the public and there are a limited number of entry spots for the exhibition.
Submissions received by October 16 on a digital file via email will be considered for use on the exhibit postcard.
Drop-Off /Pick-Up Procedures
Attach a label to the back or underside of each piece with the artist name, title, medium, dimensions & price.
Please complete sheet of identifying information per the attached form as a copy for the gallery.
Please drop off work during NACC hours between Friday, October 26 and Sunday, November 8, 2009.
Please pick up work during NACC hours between Sunday, January 10 and Saturday, January 16, 2010.
The Gallery reserves the right to exclude any works that it feels are unacceptable to the general public or do not fit the exhibit. The NACC hours for artwork drop-off and pick-up are Monday to Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday or Sunday from 12 noon to 4 pm. ************************* SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ************************
The NACC is holding an art contest for images to be used for our Fourth Annual ART OF BEER Extravaganza on February, 26, 2010. There will be a $100 prize awarded to the artist whose art is chosen to be used on all event collateral. Please submit digital images via email as per above by November 8, 2009 to be considered for this contest.
