NIAGARA FALLS BLUES FESTIVAL EXPANDS TO TWO DAY EVENT
2nd annual music festival set for September 11 & 12
NIAGARA FALLS, NY - The Niagara Festival and Entertainment Group and The City of Niagara Falls, New York are excited to announce the second annual Niagara Falls Blues Festival to be held in downtown Niagara Falls, New York. The Blues Festival returns on Friday, September 11, 2009 from 5 pm to 11 pm and on Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 1 pm to 11 pm. This year’s Niagara Falls Blues Festival will be held in the recently constructed West Mall area between Rainbow Boulevard and Prospect Street directly adjacent to the entrance to the State Park at Niagara Falls, New York.
“After last year’s successful return of the blues to the City of Niagara Falls with the inaugural Blues Festival, we decided to expand this year’s event by an extra day,” said Bob Drozdowski, festival organizer.
This year’s performers include Richard Ray Farrell, The Electras and The Thurman Brothers on Friday and The Nighthawks, Jimmy Thackery, Maria Aurigema, The Blues Hounds, Four on the Floor and Problem Child on Saturday. The free event is scheduled rain or shine. While some tables and chairs will provided, festival goers are encouraged to bring their own folding chairs .In addition to the many great musical acts there will be a variety of food vendors. No outside food and beverages will be allowed on the grounds.
